Download TikTok & Instagram videos on Windows
To save a TikTok, an Instagram Reel, or a video from X or Facebook, copy its link, paste it into Stashy and press Download. Stashy saves an MP4 that plays in the default Windows player, converting TikTok's HEVC video when it needs to.
How to
Save a clip in three steps.
Copy the link
Tap Share → Copy link in TikTok, Instagram, X or Facebook, or copy the address from your browser.
Paste it in Stashy
Press Ctrl+V in Stashy. Vertical videos are listed by their short side, so a 1080×1920 clip shows as 1080p.
Download
Keep MP4 and Best, or pick MP3 for just the sound, and press Download.

When a site wants you signed in.
Instagram and some Facebook and X videos only show up for signed-in users. Stashy can borrow your browser's login for those.
Use your browser
Sign in to the site in your browser, then pick that browser under Settings → Browser cookies in Stashy: Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Brave or Opera.
Firefox works best
Chromium browsers lock their cookie file while they're open, so close them first or use Firefox, which Stashy can read while it's running.
Only what you can see
Stashy sees exactly what your account sees. It doesn't get around private accounts or other people's privacy settings.
Respect creators: save only your own clips, or ones the creator lets you download, and ask before reposting anyone's video. Responsible use.

Why won't an Instagram video download in Stashy?
Instagram often asks for a login before it shows a video. If you're signed in to Instagram in your browser, choose that browser under Settings → Browser cookies in Stashy and try again. Firefox works best, because Chromium browsers lock their cookie file while they're open.
Will a TikTok video play on my PC after Stashy downloads it?
Yes. TikTok often uses HEVC video, which older Windows players can't open, so Stashy converts it to H.264 automatically. Audio that isn't AAC, MP3 or ALAC is converted to AAC too, so the MP4 plays in the default Windows player.
Can Stashy download private videos or someone else's stories?
Only what your own account can already see. Stashy doesn't get around privacy settings; with your browser's cookies it sees exactly what you see when you're signed in.
